About Rocio Martinez:
Rocio Martinez graduated from Northwestern University in 2012 where she studied Political Science, Spanish and Psychology. While at Northwestern, she volunteered her time at Centro Romero in Chicago, Illinois preparing applicants for their naturalization civics exam and interview. Rocio attended law school at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas. While in law school she participated in both the Immigration and Criminal Defense Clinics helping those who could not afford representation.
Rocio is a passionate advocate of the immigrant population. As a Mexican-American who grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, she is proud to be able to represent her community. Her passion for helping the immigrant community was nurtured by the excellent guidance of the law professors in the Immigration clinical program. As a law student, Rocio interned for the Law Office of Francisco Hernandez where her passion for helping the immigrant community was further cultivated and fortified. Rocio is fluent in Spanish and is able to communicate effectively with clients. She is determined to help families and companies navigate increasingly intricate immigration laws.
Rocio works on defensive immigration cases with the Department of Justice, Executive Office for Immigration Review in Dallas, Texas. She has been able to get numerous clients released from immigration detention. She has succeeded in keeping families together by preventing the removal of their loved ones.
Rocio also works on affirmative immigration cases with United States Citizen and Immigration Services such as naturalization, adjustment of status and family petitions, consular processing, waivers of inadmissibility, and employment-based visas. The Law Office of Francisco Hernandez has a formidable criminal defense practice which has allowed Rocio to develop her knowledge of criminal law and how it influences immigration law. Because of this, Rocio has been able to help many clients with storied and difficult criminal histories.
Rocio prides herself in her honesty and integrity. She represents clients creatively and vigorously and treats them with the dignity and respect they deserve. She is proud of the personal touch she can provide to clients.
Rocio is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Tarrant County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. She has been a CLE guest speaker for the Tarrant County Young Lawyer’s Association.
